tedstrong.com says: I'll tell you right now, I haven't been this excited over a list in a long time. It's fresh and original. Not to say that I agree completely, but...

I don't know if I've ever been able to sit through Orson Welles' Othello. I saw Dead Ringers a long time ago, but didn't really care for it. Love Kubrick's Lolita with James Mason. Apocalypse Now Redux, did it get a French release already, or did you see it at Cannes? I love the new Aurore Clement additions. Peckinpah's Cross of Iron! Wow. I like it. The Limey is great, haven't seen Beat Takeshi's Fireworks -- yet. I also don't think I've ever seen Texas Chainsaw. Duck Soup -- the best of the Marx Bros! You Can't Take It With You is good Capra, if a little corny. I prefer, of course, It's a Wonderful Life. For a Woody Allen entry... September? I haven't seen that one, but it's interesting for you to list it. I assume I'll get around to seeing it eventually. Seen most of his.

I liked the book Midnight Garden Good Evil, but didn't love it. I thought the film was only okay. If we're talking Eastwood as director I'm going to go with Unforgiven. And for your Peckinpah entry I find it interesting that it's not Wild Bunch, Pat Garrett or Ride the High Country. You are not into westerns?

Dirty Harry rules.

Haven't seen Foolish Wives. Silents are still my Achilles Heel. I thought Man on the Moon was a let down. Never saw Carnival of souls, or Marcel Carné's Daybreak. I've also not seen Dr Mabuse, but ironically I did see Lang's update, The 1000 Eyes of Dr Mabuse (1960) just the other day. Which I enjoyed. Will see the original soon -- maybe at the Lang-fest being held currently at the Pacific Film Archive in Berkeley.

The Tex Avery cartoon -- sneaky, throwing that in. I can't remember which it is by the title, but I may have seen it. Bad Lieutenant, not my favorite. As far as Red I LOVE it. I love Blue, too, and can't decide which I like more, so I usually list the entire Trilogy as one film. That's me being sneaky.

Haven't seen Babe. Carlito's Way was fun. Julius Caesar: gotta love Mason, good cast too, I like Louis Calhern as Caesar. Haven't seen the Damned yet, love Vertigo. Haven't seen The Cure, but Chaplin's not my favorite. Haven't seen Baby Doll, yet. The Servant is outstanding! Death Becomes Her? What a choice. I remember liking it more than most other people did at the time, but haven't seen it since it's original release date. Haven't seen My Own Private Idaho yet either.

Love your actors and actresses especially Bogarde, Mason, Schneider and HUPPERT! She rules.

But I liked A Man and a Woman, and loved the soundtrack, and I like Empire Strikes Back much better than Star Wars, Return of the Jedi and Star Wars 4.
