July, August and September 2003...

My mom's sister and mother came to visit in August. One weekend Joanna drove up from LA to see them. Most of these pix, if not all, were taken with my mom's camera, and not by me...

The ladies spent a night in SF shopping, drinking, eating, drinking, drinking and getting hammered. Or as my mom says, "snockered." Joanna checks herself here in the hotel mirror.

Aunt Peggy took the dogs for a walk.

Mr C made a new friend, and acted out a scene from The Great Escape.

Patti and her mother, Martha, or "Mart," at Pinky's Pizza in Walnut Creek.

I don't photograph too well, seen here with Mom, Peggy, and Grandma -- we're playing a game from the midwest area -- Euchre. Grandma cheats. (Kidding, Grandma.)

Jane, with Mr C on the kitchen table.

Trivial Pursuit on the back porch. C proved worthless as a partner. He only got one question right: It had to do with the film C.H.O.M.P.S.

Jo tries to think of 1986's MVP; Hilary thinks Jo's just wasting time.

Jane pretends to be interested.

Mr C does not bother to pretend to be interested.

Dad barely pretends to be interested. Peggy knows Ed's a grouch.

This photo actually includes everyone who was playing, although it only looks, from here, like it's of Mom and Jo -- that's why you have to click on these thumbnails.

Post-Trivial Pursuit dinner. Click to see who the grill chef was!

Jo with dogs, and my old Late Night with David Letterman shirt -- which she stole from me.

Jane laughs off Hasty's antics, but is seething inside. Kidding. Or am I?

Several months prior, Mom discovered something called The Princess Cake, and couldn't stop talking about it. It was okay. I mean it was better than okay; but not amazing.
These pics are from a failed Labor Day Weekend trip to LA for Jane, Mr C and I. Jane, Jo.

Jane drinks, Ted controls (Mr C, that is).

Mom and Dad enjoy Hasty. Dad must be on his third drink at least by now for him to be having this much fun with a dog.
