The Parent Trap, The Parent Trap, and Brittany Murphy. From Jon Plombon: I don't - in any regards whatsoever - consider my tastes to be more important than any one else's. But as the trite expression of art goes, I know what I like. Therefore, the following is my current "favorite" film list. The final entry, "Riding in Cars with Boys" has yet to be released as of this writing; however, the trailer alone has embedded a true prophetic acknowledgment in the recesses of my humble tastes. All the same, I hope this impractical information reverberates into something useful. I truly doubt it though... 1. The
Parent Trap (1961) There's a lot of kitschy stuff here, like the 60s Disney films (The Parent Trap, Pollyanna, That Darn Cat!), The Parent Trap remake (!), The Trouble with Angels, actually it's all kitsch isn't it? I like things about Drop Dead Gorgeous. I like Almost Famous. I look forward to Riding in Cars with Boys too. I have no opinion left on John Hughes films. The rest I haven't seen. I'd like to see Cool As Ice with Vanilla Ice though. I just noticed Drive has Brittany Murphy too, as does Drop Dead Gorgeous. I have to give props to this list then, as I love her.
