Big Shining Metal Blade!
Hi, I wrote you yesterday, but I've just noticed a cool feature of your website, which is the movie lists. Since I'm a "sick person who loves movies" I'd like to submit my list. Here's my list of the first 15 movies that comes up to my mind, which, I presume, are the ones that impressed me much. p.s. if you decide to publish my list, please refer to me just as Marco ;-) Marco In no particoular order: Magnolia First I'd like to say this, Marco contacted me from Italy. He's from there I believe, and I find it interesting that only one of the films on his list is Italian (Life Is Beautiful). Magnolia I love. Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels is great. I haven't seen Full Metal Jacket in like 10 years, but I remember thinking it was okay. Life Is Beautiful I liked alright when I saw it, but I've kind of had my fill of Benigni. Amelie I liked. The Big Lebowski is a lot of people's fav, I thought it had some really funny parts and I thought Jeff Bridges was great. I should see that one again. Vertigo is awesome. Blade Runner is good, I should see that one again soon. Casino was pretty, but it felt kind of hollow. I could see that one again though. The Others was fun, a really good movie-going experience. The audience jumped and screamed at a few parts. That doesn't happen much. Frantic I like a lot. I think it's underrated. It's Polanski, and I'd like to recommend Chinatown, Rosemary's Baby and even The Ninth Gate, rent them. Rear Window, Vertigo and North By Northwest are my three fav Hitchcocks. You should see NXNW if you haven't. And The Birds. Being There is great. One of my favs of the 80s. Hal Ashby directed it and he directed one of my fav films of the 70s, Shampoo.
