Hi, tedstrong.com has gotten a bit out of hand and we are having trouble keeping things updated. So, some pages are being closed. Including this one on Nelly Furtado. She has a big following now and no longer needs me to pave the way for her. I will leave a little bit of info up here, with links, but this page will no longer be updated. Also, my very good friend "met" Nelly once and, from what my friend said, Nelly's early fame may have gone to her head. Because what she said/did to my friend is shockingly bitchy and rude. What I wrote originally on this page: It's very simple. I was at Tower Records last week. The one in San Francisco, on Columbus and Bay. I buy "things" to take the place of relationships and love in my life. Lately I've been buying loads of cds and books. And DVDs! Anyway, at the counter was a pile of FREE cds! Well, there was this cute young girl sprawled on the pavement and so I was like, hell it's free. Anyway, I played it. Many times, and then I couldn't wait for the album to come out. Three great songs on that little free disc. And about a dozen on the full album. Just when you think she might go Alanis Morrisette or somewhere equally bad, she turns and goes in the other direction. What is great is her fusion of so many styles and genres. The rest of this information was culled from her website. I edited
it. Her website is at www.nellyfurtado.com We bring you Nelly Furtado, as we try to bring you more classic, original personalities here at tedstrong.com. Our other Persons of the Week are sure to knock you for a similar loop. Keep surfing. And, well, hell, keep surfing tedstrong.com too, cause I like to think we got a lot to offer... Of course, all of this was brought to bear on Whoa Nelly. Article on Nelly in Spin Magazine! Article on Nelly in Vanity Fair! Email me at tedstrong@tedstrong.com
